I'm like Pinterest, but with real expectations

I have fond memories of my childhood, and most of those memories, to no surprise, were of me in the kitchen with my grandma whipping up a batch of brownies or making pancakes for Sunday breakfast. Boxed mixes never made an appearance in my grandma's kitchen, so I learned at an early age how to measure ingredients and the importance of beating sugar with butter before mixing in the dry ingredients.

Fast forward to my college years and receiving packages filled with my aunt Pam's chocolate chip cookies, which didn't last more than a day. Those cookies were honestly some of the best that I had ever had. Soft, gooey, and just plain delicious. In fact, they're so good that my family frequently fights over who gets the last one. Anyways, I asked my aunt Pam for the recipe, and I made them for my friends, and the rest is history...

Just kidding. there's more to this story.

It was my friends saying how good my carbonara was, or how they hated me for making another batch of cookies because they were addicting, that ultimately pushed me to pursue this blog, which I have named Francipes. If you know who I am, you know that the name comes from the joining of Fran + recipes = Francipes.

What's the scope of Francipes? First of all, it's not just another food blog. About 1.5 years ago I noticed that food videos were becoming very popular, and I can't go one day without seeing someone share or comment on one saying that they need to try it. Well, I'm that person trying the recipes and sharing my experience with you. I also post recipes that I've found online and share my tips, tricks, and suggestions.
