Things are happening in the Francipes kitchen

As I'm slurping down my generous helping of cacio e pepe I look over to my phone and check my Instagram account. To my surprise I have two new likes from user @zanelamprey, one on the Francipes logo and another on a photo of cacio e pepe. Out of curiosity I click on the user name to find out who he is and why he might have liked my photos, and that's when my jaw dropped...

User @zanelamprey is Zane Lamprey, the Travel/Drink/Food host for the Travel Channel, Food Network, and NatGeo. You might not think this is a big deal, but just a few days ago I got a like on the cacio e pepe photo from another user, @cheflorenzoboni, none other than the Executive Chef of Barilla America. Both of these users have thousands of followers, but for some reason they liked my photos. Think of your idol and how you would feel if they liked your photo or tweeted you, or (warning: spoiler) believing Santa existed and was bringing you presents. That's the feeling I felt when I discovered who these two users were. I won't lie, I have never heard of either these names before they liked my photos, but knowing who they were and that they took two seconds to look notice me/Francipes meant a lot to someone who launched a Facebook page from a silly hobby and has a website less than two weeks old.

What does this mean for the future of Francipes? I don't know, but I can only hope that this is a step in the right direction and there are many more exciting things to happen. So, stay tuned and subscribe to my website and social media for updates! Who knows, I might just be the next big thing in the food industry :)
